Dubbed “the future of tennis for the MTV generation”, Night Tennis was created by iris to make the most of Sony Ericsson’s sponsorship of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). Previously rolled out across Madrid and Miami, the short dynamic matches were played in the dark under UV with some of the worlds best DJ’s entertaining the crowds.
Iris Sydney created a complete 360 campaign that included everything from a 8 meter glowing tennis ball floating on the Yarra river, to a teaser film, website, experiential and in store POS. Not to forget the 2000 strong event featuring tennis great Pat Cash and DJ legend Bob Sinclar.
Was it a success? Well the huge tennis ball domes that had crash landed into major city locations across Australia delivered over 1000 handset demos a day, there were 198,591 unique visitors to the website and we had a 24.5% response rate to win tickets. Oh and Optus sold out of handsets. Game, set and match we think.
